About Me-
Hello! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Katelyn, and I am graduating in May with my Bachelors in Science for Apparel Merchandising. My passion for the fashion industry has only grown through my college courses and experience over the past four years. I am specifically interested in Retail Buying and Visual Merchandising, but am excited about any exposure to the fashion world! What I love most about the fashion industry is that, initially, you might only see the light-hearted and fun aspects. However, after closer inspection, you realize it also serves as a safe place for many individuals with a history of feeling misunderstood. This is an industry that has the power to positively impact such a wide array of individuals. I am ecstatic to get to be a part of this.
Experience -
As an experienced sales associate, I have developed the ability to maintain effective selling goals, utilize creative problem-solving techniques, and perform accurate data entry. Additionally, my experience as a barista has allowed me to hone my customer service, sales, and team efficiency skills. Further, my time as a camp counselor has taught me the importance of determination, relational bandwidth, and conflict resolution. Ultimately, my showroom and PR internship solidified my passion for the industry and gave me hands-on experience. Currently, I have been practically applying my skills and knowledge in my merchandising and sales assoicate job. Together, these skills make me a well-rounded and valuable asset to any team.
